We’re hearing from a market research firm that a “Nonprofit and Government Software” company is being shopped around for an investment, merger, or acquisition. Some companies in the nonprofit political advocacy space may include BlackbaudCQ Roll Call, SoftEdge and VoterVoice.

The Crunchbase description for AMS vendor Abila reads: “Abila develops software solutions for nonprofit and governmental organizations throughout North America.” (emphasis mine)

Abila last received a round of private equity funding in early 2013. For much of the past year, Abila has been rumored, off and on, to be on the market for an investment.
